One way, of course, is to move over to gentoo. I haven't kept up with
the 64-bit threads, since I have a plain ole 32-bit cpu, but go to
www.gentoo.org, select forums, and search.
OTOH, surely there are some brave souls on Slack who are tinkering with 64-bit.
The last I heard, this is still quite a mixed bag - some applications
work well, others don't; some applications can be run in 32-bit mode
on a 64-bit os, others can't. My personal recommendation: unless you
really like fighting bugs on the bleeding edge, just put up your
favorite 32-bit system on your 64-bit cpu and wait for 64-bit
operation to become more mainstream. Aye, but where's the fun in that?
