RedHat Fedora core 1-2 is a testing release. RedHats Enterprise Linux is
the 'certified' server product. Using Fedora as a server means you are
using the community development product as a server base.... (not sure
if this is a great idea) If you are running any sort of Enterprise
database/application (Oracle etc) then you have to go with a certified
product in order to benefit from the support offerings of both the
Server and Database/Application vendor.

When Redhat put their current website up and started sending copious
product update notifications .... I felt the same. However since they
seperated their business and development lines it's probably now a case
of you get what you pay for.

I have found that because Redhat has had the RHCE course with the
courseware being a good administrative introduction to Redhat product I
tend to stay with Redhat.... Although I have been flirting with other
distributions I tend to come back to the redhat base...

Is there a way in Gentoo to make identical server configurations by
scripting the install process or is it all manual selection / configuration?

Blue Curve is kind of annoying because all the redhat extensions means
that KDE isn't really KDE but I use XFCE anyway.
