Gentoo here. Canon S900
printer.??CUPS?1.1.20.??Turboprint?1.87.??Printer?is?attached
to the local machine.??I?printed?a?file?and?when?I?tried?to?print
another, no go.??Jobs?just?sit?in?the?queue.??Tried?printing?from?root,
but still nada.??Checked?CUPS?via?the?web?interface,?and?everything
looked OK:
Description: Canon_S900
Location:
Printer State: processing, accepting jobs.
Device URI: /dev/usb/lp0
Checked the Turboprint config - looked OK.??Looked
at /etc/cups/cupsd.conf - looked alright, and didn't have a new
timestamp.??One?problem?I?did?find?--?ran?/etc/init.d/cupsd?restart.?
However, it only stopped it.??Tried?cupsd?start?and?got?"*?WARNING:?
"cupsd" has already been started". lpq states "tp0 is not ready". No
kidding. I'm out of ideas. Any advice appreciated.??Thanks.
