isn't that a little like saying that the best treatments for pancreatic 
cancer are no more effective than dancing around a fire and howling, 
therefore we might as well treat pancreatic cancer by dancing around 
the fire and howling? if two things are found to be ineffective, then 
perhaps the trick is trying to find an alternative that is effective.
