Mozilla Calendar problem

Turns out to be a profile problem after all. But the problem is created 
by the installer.
I had originally suspected profile ownership issues when I noticed the 
<profile>/Calendar directory was owned by root.root, and even changed 
ownership on my <profile>/Calendar directory to <user>.<user-group>, but 
that had no effect. Since my profile was old, I tried with a newly 
created user and experienced the same problems. Hence, I abandoned the 
idea that it was the profile causing the problem.
A search on bugzilla.mozilla.org this morning found 
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196694, which referenced 
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=230617
Which brought me back to permissions on the profile's Calendar directory.
A quick 'chmod -R 775 <profile>/Caldendar' later and voila', a working 
Mozilla Calendar.
