Yes. And it appears Libranet runs update every time you attempt to
install something from the Internet via XAdminmenu.

It is indeed outdated. So much so that it hardly seems like a good sales
tool for Libranet. A better plan might be a scaled down version of 2.8.1
or a timebomb version.

I may look into Mepis and/or re-read some of the evals that have been
written about it. Thing is, I want to stay with mainstream distros -
safety in numbers or somesuch. And Libranet seems to have achieved that
status (just barely) while Mephis isn't quite there. I'm also watching
the developments in UserLinux with interest.
