dep: I don't have Xandros. I did try an early Xandros 1 beta but did
not care for it.
I just never liked the Corel file manager/desktop.

As far as Xandros 2.0 goes, I believe it has a technology release
included, which does not have the proprietary GUI.
If you install Xandros 2.0 with its default GUI, you are stuck with
whatever Xandros provides for downloads.
They have the same problem that clouded Corel Linux; a proprietary desk
top that could not keep up with the developments in KDE. Also, like
CLOS, Xandros wants to write its bootloader to your MBR. I believe
however that you can "defooze" this nasty habit.

By Corel suite I presume you mean WordPerfect Office 2000/Linux? The
supply dried up around July last year. I think I posted a link to a
surplus software store that was selling WPO2KL for $15 (then $5) plus
shipping. For now, you are at the mercy of ebay. If you are going to
install Xandros 2, then there is no purpose in getting WPO2KL; it won't
work.
Xandros uses glib 2.3.2 and that euthanizes WPO2KL, or more
specifically, the version of Fontastic font manager the package uses.
PhotoPaint9 is also KO'd by it. I don't know about Corel Draw - it has
been very hard to find - but I would think it has the same problem as
with the other WINE apps.
