Let me get this straight-
Your drive with Linux installed and operational... it doesn't happen to live off the SCSI controller, not the RAID controller?
The reason I ask is because I'm wondering if be chance there is a SCSI termination issue on the RAID controller, but the standard SCSI bus is working fine? Or Vice Versa? Ctrl-A would probably get you into the AIC-BIOS, but the Mylex DAC960 would have to have it's own config... Could it be turned off? What happens if you remove the AIC controller altogether?
Sorry to simply Spew without adding much value, but there is some complexity here that could be removed to iron out a few variables... then again, I guess I could just shut up and watch :)
