In case I wasn't clear enough, the 9.0 automated install is superb.  I'm sure 
someone can come up with difficult hardware to break it with, but in my case 
with realatively new, relatively non-mainstream gear, it worked like a champ.  
I would be curious to know how well it works on a laptop, since nearly all of 
those are downright strange.

Also, I failed to note, the PC I used has WinXP installed, and I was able to 
chop the size with ntfsresize to make room for SUSE.  Unfortunately, I didn't 
successfully manage to get the WinXP swap file removed (always placed in the 
middle of the partition), so the #@!% WinXP partition is still 40G of my 80G 
harddrive, which is quite overkill for my occasional WinXP use!  Someday I'll 
try to reformat again.
