I haven't tried sucks2 yet.  I've heard nothing but comments like yours on 
older SUSE releases, but I've heard nothing but fairly good experiences with 
9.0.  Automated stuff is the very toughest thing to get right in a linux 
environment.

They have made some progress.  For example, Postfix rather than Sendmail is 
installed by default <g>.

My next project is to learn how well (at all?) the standard SUSE firewall 
support works and to setup Samba using their builtin stuff.
