I am going to stay away from Lindows... too basic. I'm more of a C/L person,
and if I have to use M$ for anything, I always have VMWare. When I pay for a
distro, I need a full blown server setup, and not just a desktop.

Someone, long ago, told me that yes root runs by default, but you can easily
add users and run from there.
