Wireless in linux

Wireless in Linux is pretty rock solid for a great deal of vendors... but probably wasn't in the 2.4.5 days... If wanting to do Wireless and having issues with compatibility you should try something newer.
I believe I was able to drive most the wireless cards with Caldera's 2.4.2 kernel, though.

Once you have a working card, the pcmcia (aka pcmcia-cs, do a "rpm -qa |grep -i pcmcia" to find out) package will have some documentation on how to set up an AP. I think it may even be in the config files. Once you've found the package:

rpm -ql <packagename>

will list the files provided by the package. Look for files in /usr/share/doc/ and check the files in /etc/pcmcia/
