Do you mean the ncurses YaST? That is still a GUI. I would really like a
YaST that I can give options to on the command line from my software
installation scripts. No interactive menu at all. Do you mean there is
something like that?

Currently we change the files and then call the suseconfig script to have
the change take effect. But this is a less than obvious approach and one
that will surely change from release to release.

I am talking about things like turning on a network service like dhcp and
adding entries to dhcp's config. Or adding entries to /etc/services. Or
adding fonts to X. It remains a moving target. We sort it out for each
release, but then it changes. It is also the part that makes installation
across distros very difficult. Same old story...
