FYI,

I've had off-list correspondence from lodger.  Apparently he can send mail to
us, but he isn't receiving any.  I pointed out a few things for him to check and
forwarded him a copy of what we got with all headers attached.

Volume may be down on this list, but certainly not on gentoo-user or alsa-users
or fedora.

I gave up on xfce, since their webmaster won't let me play the game.  

I gave up on alsa-users, because they have no answers (for me), and what they
are doing won't be available on 2.6.0 for some time.

If you want to experience the business end of a firehose, just sign up for the
