The Well-Linuxed Car

Hi, List,
So, yesterday, my 1993 Mercury Sable threw a rod, or was about to. I
replaced it today with a 2002 Ford Focus. Here's the challenge: trick
it out with all the Linux-powered whizzo-bango gadgets and technology
I can. Not all at once, mind you, because I still have to make the
payments while I cherry it out.
Your mission is to help me generate a list of Linux-powered technology
widgets to apply to it. My proposal, to illustrate the type of thing I
have in mind:
I have an extremely stiff neck due to the type of arthritis I have.
I can't, as a result, twist my head to check blind spots. So, my
solution: hook up Web cams on either side of my car, where the rear
view mirrors are, to a small LCD screen inside the car that shows
me what's in my blind spots.
The floor is open...
