I think that's handled by the "compatibility with old names" part of 
devfsd.conf.  It makes sure the old device names get included in devfs.  
You shouldn't have to do anything to get a floppy.  Mine has all kinds of 
floppys if I do a /dev/fd*.

What is the problem?
