I was uising 1.4, then upgreaded to 1.5. Both exhibited the same
behavior.

I guess, but i'd be kinda surprised, seeing as how the hardware hasn't
changed, and the only thing that has the problem is mozilla. I'm not
using anything bleeding edge. Its an i810 videocard.
In fact, i'm almost positive its not the videocard/driver, as I've got
another hardware identical box that is not having the lockups problem.
That other box is running a different linux distro though.
