mozilla causing system lockups?

I've read that 1.5 is less stable than 1.4.1, so I wouldn't suspect that 
going to 1.5 would solve your problem. Are you using 1.4, or 1.4.1? 
FWIW, I've not experienced any lock-ups with Moz in quite some time on 
my home system (was RHL 8.0 with Moz 1.3 and now Fedora Core 1 with 
1.4.1). My wife uses it quite frequently for Yahoo mail and general 
browsing the 'net and has said nothing WRT to system lock-up problems.
I currently use Firebird 0.7 for the majority of my browsing 
(occasionally Konqueror 3.1.4 to access the sites that don't work with 
Firebird), and haven't experienced any lock-up issues.

Could your problem be linked to video card/driver issues?
