strange problem with checkinstall and spamassassin

when checkinstall can't figure out what distro you're using, it defaults to 
redhat. no biggie, just cd to /usr/src and symlink whatever caldera has there 
(I forgot) to redhat. Something like:
cd /usr/src
ln -s openlinux redhat

you'll find that this helps when installing rpms that were built for other 
distros too..
I usually make symlinks for redhat, suse, and mandrake (just in case))
