agreed.  And I tell them from time to time too.

I don?t find it any less intuitive than, say, SuSE (or any other for
that matter).

You can build from source.  But then, it is more difficult.  However,
the important packages (for me) all seem to built the way I would have
anyway (I still build and install my own kernels regardless).

yes.  IMNSHO apt-get beats hell out of rpm any day of the week.
