In the land of Volvos and SAABs, I think the next most popular car brand
must be VV/Audi. I was walking down a central Stockholm street yesterday,
and for some reason took to noting what cars were parked (boring
residential average income area). I had never noticed the number of Audi and
VV before. So, you are not alone in your attraction. But, I still prefer my
MB. That is a 'German' car.
