Opera preferences: Gone

I saw the same thing some months ago.  And I had registered it.  I tried
everything.  I lost my bookmarks as well.  Frustrating as h*ll.

So at home, I just gave up and use mozilla exclusively.  At work Opera is still
functioning, so I use it for a few dedicated tasks (like yahoo mail).  

I was using the latest 6.x version, I think, but I am not sure as I am at work
now and am running 6.11...
