wow! i'm reading the docs for "twin," and this thing is one cool piece 
of work!

it does indeed do console session management via the included twdm(!).

now, this presumably allows one to login, go to one's nice little 
shell -- say, pdmenu, though umenu or one of the various others is 
also possible -- with a choice of desktops listed, among them twin.

twin itself is -- only old-timers will understand this -- essentially 
a linux clone of desqview.

if this stack of stuff works, it'll be tall cotton around here!
