SuSE 8.1 vs IBM xSeries 225

I'm attempting to install SuSE 8.1 personal on an IBM xSeries 225 server,
get through all the partitioning and setup stuff, then it starts loading
software from the first CD.  Instead of asking for another CD, the install
stops saying the installation is complete, but obviously it's not since a
good part of the software hasn't installed and it won't boot.

The system has the standard IBM SCSI with a single 38GB hard drive, 512MB
of RAM, otherwise it's box stock with nothing fancy.
