Compiling a Caldera Friendly Samba 2.2.0

1. should the instructions from the webpage include the removal of 
libsmbclient via rpm -e libsmbclient? The one that came with COL 3.1 was 
2.2.2 only.

2. the build instructions didn't include the option "--with-libsmbclient".

3. after make and make install, one had to manually copy libsmbclient.so 
and libsmbclient.a from source/bin to /usr/lib, and libsmbclient.h from 
source/include to /usr/include. should these steps be included as well?
