ok, that's what i thought, so its the standard crap that 9i needs.

i ended up installing the 8GB this morning, and its all showing up.  this
was easier than expected.

i still prefer to use sqlplus on a console.  oemapp scares the hell out of
me, as it pegs the CPUs so damn hard just because its java.
