Arrows in gimp

Xtns>Script-Fu>Web Page Themes>Alien Glow>Arrow
Once there choose the arrow size you wish.
choose arrow orietation
Glow Color is the arrow color
Background color is just that
uncheck flatten image if you wish to further edit the arrow
click OK button
