The big problem Libranet (or any other purveyor of Debian distro's) has
to deal with is when to freeze the distro.  If a reliable, i.e. stable
or testing, app is not available, it will be left out.  For example,
Libranet 2
shipped without Kpackage because it was not good enough at that time. 
However, a
quick visit to www.debian.org corrects that.  Debian, like Caldera, is
inherently "self hosting" and that is why the deb's install and work,
when they are available.  Of course the adventurous can alien a RPM (or
simply install it in Libranet as RPM).
