lonni,
Re Mplayer I want to use the gui and have managed to get it compiled as
you know, with it in, BUT!

When I call it from gmplayer:

CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon 4 PM Palomino/Athlon MP Multiprocessor/Athlon
XP eXtreme Performance (Family: 6, Stepping: 2)
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE

vo: X11 running at 1280x1024 with depth 16 and 16 bpp (":0.0" => local display)

Can't open input config file /usr/local/share/mplayer/input.conf : No such file or directory
Falling back on default (hardcoded) input config
SKIN dir 1: '/home/kantoine/.mplayer/Skin'
SKIN dir 2: '/usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin'
libpng warning: Application was compiled with png.h from libpng-1.0.3
libpng warning: Application is running with png.c from libpng-1.2.4
libpng error: Incompatible libpng version in application and library

I can see that the fault lies "still" with libpng, as the last 3 lines ay. But what can i do to rectify this ?
Sine seems to be recognised although font.desc isnt, but is this cruital, as it did not error out there.
Lokks like I need an input config file in ~/HOME though.
