No, don't do that - EZbios will not work with Linux.
I have a Maxtor 20 GB ATA/100 with Caldera 3.1, 3.1.1, Libranet 2.0.2
Debian, and SuSE 8 all running happily. It is the 5400 RPM drive and
was actually made by Maxtor. The 7200 RPM drive is probably a Quantum.
You can tell by looking at the serial number - Maxtor serial #'s are
alpha-numeric combinations,
while Quantum serial no's are only numeric. I had problems with an
elderly Quantum "big foot" which would not allow installation of some
Linuces.
I'd suggest trying to exchange the 7200 RPM drive for the equivalent
size 5400 RPM drive if possible.
