If downloading a new iso (linuxiso.org) (about 650megs) is not an 
option, my suggestion is cheapbytes.com, lsl.com or some such very 
inexpensive route to a new distro. You can get whatever you want for 
just a couple of bucks.
I recommend www.libranetlinux.com for a great downloadable debian based 
distro. They also have it at linuxiso.org.
