Any ideas on ppscsi/sane problem?

Don't have an answer for you but my HP 6200 totally scsi  scanner doesn't work 
under 8.0 either.   sane-find-scanner  finds the scanner.   sane itself 
doesn't.   Worked fine under SuSE 7.3, doesn't under 8.0.
