   fdisk /mbr and reboot. if problem exsist then check partitions
with fdisk. The active setting may have been removed, check with
fdisk or other good tool.  On Hard drive , also remove Symaqntec,
retry system. All of the geeral virii pr5ograms are really bogus. There
is a great program that is not sold in store,  URL --> 
http://www.datafellows.com/   named F-Secure, I have used this and 
does not get in the way of OS. Symantec and many others use undocumented
api(s) and have some very nasty coding, very inadapt programmers.
