When you do your cost analysis....  add in the cost of the media....    Some 
of the cheapest tape drives have the most expensive tapes....  and the most 
expensive drives have the cheapest tapes.

Unless you figure the *TOTAL* cost, a cheaper drive may cost you more in the 
long run.
