Oh, and since you're already listening :)
How do I download CUPS printer drivers? emerge cups was easy enough to
figure out... I will probably happen upon some magical way of
determining what's available easily, but I'm looking for a GUI way :)
At least something I can get an overview of everything relatively easily.
Also, is there a simple way to tell what "package" owns what files (or
what files are provided by the ebuild)?
And what are eclasses? (/var/cache/edb/dep/*-eclass.cpickle)
and..

| Just a single snide remark. I've never found genkernel to be worth a
| $#@%, but others swear by it. My guess is if you had compiled a real
| kernel to your machine specs, you would have got up and running
