The joys of gentoo; emerge fte only takes a few minutes.

It's a dual mode editor. If run under X, it's a nice looking editor,
but it looks rather pale in a native console, and OMG if you hated the
cryptic key combinations under vi, you're really going to love this
puppy! Also, I could not get it to run in normal user mode. It needs
extra permissions for /dev/vcsa (? spelling). I think I rate it along
with emacs as the most confusing, clumsy to operate.
