mounting a usb thumb drive

SUSE 9.0? I have had trouble. I tried to access one that someone uses
with XP and could not. The partition table looked odd. I only tried it
as a hard disk. But I now suspect that it was a floppy (no partition
table). Too bad the doodad is gone, so I cannot check my theory. So,
have you had SUSE access one correctly when it was a floppy (no
partition table)?
