It runs!! Once you enable transparency it consumes 10-20% CPU just 
idling, start actually _doing_ something and that shoots up to 35-40% 
but settles back down when you stop. The transparency looks cool and so 
do the drop shadows but there needs to be a bit more time in the oven, 
so to speak. Fortunately, you can enable and disable these at will so 
all is not lost. YMMV
