gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.3.4/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.3.4/configure --prefix=/usr --enable-shared
--enable-threads=posix --enable-__cxa_atexit --disable-checking
--with-gnu-ld --verbose --target=i486-slackware-linux
--host=i486-slackware-linux
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3.4

ls /var/log/packages/glibc*
/var/log/packages/glibc-2.3.2-i486-6
/var/log/packages/glibc-i18n-2.3.2-noarch-6
/var/log/packages/glibc-solibs-2.3.2-i486-6
/var/log/packages/glibc-zoneinfo-2.3.2-noarch-6

ls /var/log/packages/flex*
/var/log/packages/flex-2.5.31-i486-1rsa

Hmmm... the flex package is a non-slackware package. I'll rip it out and
put the original back in, maybe that will cure the problem.

stay tuned ;-)
