How can one fix/change forgotten creation password

That is exactly what I suggested when I got the call but he said that it did not work ... not sure if that may be because he had run a process or attempted to add a record (no mention of these were made).
In the end, a copy from EC2 nightly backup got him going ... RDP in, copy / paste; he may have lost a day's work on those tables/files but at least he is operational now.
Thanks,

Renaming it back _SHOULD_ have restored it to it's orignal status.
To fix this yourself involves a complicated hand-edit of map file, possibly
with creating a dummy filePro file with same name - as password encryption
includes the filename in it's algorithm.
Alternatively, you can send it to fp tech support and they can do it for
you. Not sure of the fee, if any, and if they ask anything for proof of
ownership.
