John Esak propounded (on Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 05:21:47PM -0400):
| In 6.0, a large number of CPU's is granted for free. I think.
|
| In 5.6, one had to purchase an SMP license for the number of CPU's being
| used.
|
| What is the deal in 5.7? I was told that 5.7 is allocated up to 4 CPU's for
| its SMP use without any extra licensing. Is this correct?
|
| If a license is needed for one extra CPU, total of two... What the hell
| could it cost? I seem to remember a $90 charge for something.

The release numbers are still 5.0.6, 5.0.7, and 6.0.0. :-)

Be that as it may, find the answer in SCO's knowledge base:

	http://www.sco.com/ta/125320

which is entitled :

How many SMP licenses do I need to purchase for
	Multi-Core-CPU based system?

An SMP license, if needed, is far from $90. Try $1,199.
