E-mail using filepro

Don't know exactly what you mean by "mass emails". In any case, your
limitation is going to be your ISP. They are usually shutting down anything
over 50 or 100 cc's. or bcc's.

The way I had always done mailings from filePro databases gets around that.
I would drop to the shell with SYSTEM and execute a mailig to "subject" with
"body" and "return" all handed to that shell with PUTENV, or create a file
for the body and then mail it with other parameters. This is all pretty
simple ans straightforward under *nix. (SCO needs some help.. I suggest
Lightmail at www.fairlite.com ) Otherwise, it's pretty easy, and you are
only sending one email at a time, so no one can ever consider it "mass" or
"junk" email. At least, I wouldn't think so... Or hope so.
