"test" instance of filePro files not in "filepro" subdir...

To the best of my knowledge, no; "/filepro" is wired in, and PFDIR
merely tells the programs where to look for it.  

But, symlinks are your friend.

Put a symlink called 'filepro' somewhere, point it at fpold, and set
PFDIR to it's parent directory.
