Oh, come on, it wouldn't be that bad :-)
It sounds like what you're looking for is a command-line driven scan
program. I don't know what is out there.
This seems like a good opportunity to recap AnzioWin's capabilities in
this area:
1. Interface with any TWAIN compliant device.
2. Commands are available to:
a) Scan and store
b) Scan and print
c) Scan and email
d) Scan and upload
e) Scan and view
3. Commands can be issued from host, or from macros, or from toolbar
buttons.
4. Command can specify scanner name, or use configured scanner name.
5. Output file name can be specified.
6. Output file extension determines file format; several supported.
7. Scan can be non-interactive, with all parameters specified in the
command, including:
a) Color/gray/mono
b) Pixel density
c) Portion of page to be scanned
d) Automatic or manual duplexing
e) Number of pages per file
f) Document feeder vs. flatbed
In short, our goal is to provide a way to automatically scan however you
need it.
