Ugh. I have no idea, either. How would I figure this out? I was unable
to print to this printer from the server, sharing it with Windows
Networking and adding it to CUPS as a Samba printer--no driver available
for this model. I was able to print to it from other Windows boxes on
the network (now that's an unusual situation for me--I generally do much
better getting things to work in Linux...).

However, in the Anzio terminal, things I printed using the simple
"passprt" script in the Anzio white paper printed just fine--so anything
I could send to stdin I was able to print.

Is there a generic printer type I can set PFPRTC to, to have it print
back through the connection?

I'm now remote, but could set this up and have them test...

Thanks,

Since this is such an old version of FP (I think 4.0 is about 15 years
old) I have no idea what printer control code tables are even on that
system.

Try looking at printer maintenance and see what tables are there. I
assume your printer would understand control codes that an HP Laserjet
would, so if there is anything for a laser printer, try it.

But you are getting ahead of yourself....is the passthrough printing
even getting to the PC running Anzio? If not, then printer control
codes are not even coming into play yet.
