Tony,

I was running 4.8 on a Window 2003 server with some XP machines. I had
problems. The XP machines could not expand files nor could they set a
site password. I am now running 5.0 and everything is running a lot
better with no issues. 4.8 works great with Win 98. You should be
running 5.0 or higher with XP machines.

That is my two cents because I am not one of the "experts" on this list.

Subject: will old filepro work on XP computer

hi experts
If filepro runs on windows 98 computer with a NT server that maps
filepro to use drive G. Filepro runs from a dos window. If a XP computer
was connected to the NT server also mapping to drive G. Will filepro run
the same version of filepro from a dos window? Will there be major
issues or considerations.
Is there any advice.
I have recommended that the user upgrade to 5.6 but they are hoping to
cheap out.

thanks for any input
