OT: printing filepro on SERIAL PORT Linux

I had same problem a few weeks ago with a Ubuntu box that had to have a serial 
label printer and a parallel laser printer. I realized that I could move the 
laser printer to the USB port and the label printer to the parallel port.

Are you lucky enough to have similar situation?
