i stand corrected. it *WAS* broken and in fact i still have the email
from over 10 years ago when i bug-reported it to SCO and got back from
them that it should not have been in man page because the feature was
not working/supported. i tested (5.07) and sure enough -L works now.
thank you for pointing that out. i wonder when it got fixed, i could
have used it over the years.
another one of those annoying instances when you go to the trouble of
bug-reporting to a SW mfr, giving them info how to duplicate, going
through proper channels, etc, and you never hear back again. aarrgghh.
