Using XP Pro and connecting to Windows 2003 server.
Your default printer is created on the Windows 2003 server after you
have made connection with up to a 40 character printer name.
Ex. "Greg intuit printer in session #"
In filePro your printer reference would be
win:Greg intuit printer in session # , where # is a number between 1 & 5
Option 1: Change the name in filePro to "win:Greg" once. Then every time
you connect to the server, rename your printer to "Greg" and share it out.
Option 2: Create a permanent printer named "Greg". The problem is my
printer is on a local network (TCP/IP port-configuration) which is
undetectable by the Windows 2003 server.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Greg
P.S. Is there a way to capture the user name for printer selection?
