Dear CAPR Members:
We need your help to save the Eminent Domain reform bill! According to
Assistant Attorney General Tim Ford, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep.
Jamie Pederson stated that he will not allow SB 5077 come to a vote in the
House. Pederson stated he would block this legislation from ANY vote, and
therefore, the bill will die. (Reportedly, this is what happened last
year).
What can you do?
* Flood Pedersen's office with calls and emails: pedersen.jamie at leg.wa.gov
and phone (360) 786-7826.
* Contact each member of the House Judiciary Committee. Ask them to
support SB 5077 and be part of a SUPER MAJORITY to get this bill out of
committee.
* Contact Rep Frank Chopp's office and ask him to MOVE the bill to another
committee. Rep. Frank Chopp, Speaker of the House (360) 786-7920.
